This 1275GT was purchased in late 2006 in a very sad state as it had been stored half in and half out of a garage for many years.  Because of that, the rear half was badly rotten with the floor and boot floor virtually non existent. Many of the panels have been replaced including the floor, A panels, both door skins, inner and outer cills, boot floor, and rear valance.

The owner has tried to keep the interior as original as possible, using the original front and rear seats, door cards and roof lining with only the carpets being replaced with new along with a decent steering wheel.  The car came with the original Dunlop Denovo wheels and tyres (run flat and the latest thing in 1978!) but have been replaced with Revolution RFX 12" wheels.  The car was completely stripped back to metal and resprayed in the original Russet Brown.

Although the original engine was OK, it has been replaced with a 1275 A+ engine from a Metro and has been converted to unleaded.

The car attends the annual London Brighton Mini run every May, a round trip of 450 miles in 1 day.

Since the photos were taken, original "Paddy Hopkirk" nudge bars have been fitted front and back.
